Our Knowledge Prep Course is designed to give students the knowledge and confidence needed to successfully complete the MTO written knowledge tests for commercial driver’s licences.

Air Brake "Z" Endorsement Course
Our Air Brakes Course is a hands-on, 12-hour program delivered over 2 days. The course is taught in accordance with the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) requirements and offered through the Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario Inc. (TTSAO).
Course Overview
This course provides both theoretical and practical training to prepare students for their Air Brake (“Z”) Endorsement. Students will learn how air brake systems work and how to properly inspect and operate them to meet MTO standards.

Testing
At the end of the 12-hour program, students will complete both the written and practical tests at Ontario Truck Training Academy, administered by an official from the Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario (TTSAO).
Outcome
Upon successful completion, students will receive their Air Brake Endorsement (“Z”) Certificate, a requirement for operating vehicles equipped with air brakes in Ontario.
Mandatory Entry Level Training - Classroom
Students enrolled in AZ or DZ Diploma Courses at Ontario Truck Training Academy must complete at minimum the Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT) Classroom.
